Brake assembly BZT2
The 2-piston brake assembly BZT2 is designed as a floating brake caliper and can be mounted to 5′′ and 6′′ disk brake wheels of the series Penta and Classic. Due to the two big pistons and special sealings high braking torques can be achieved. This ensures a safe operation of heavy airplanes with high touch-down speeds. The brake linings with their big supporting surface are designed to achieve an outstanding cold braking performance as well as high temperature-resistance. They can be replaced easily and quickly. As with the BZT no special tools are needed to carry out a change of the brake linings. The brake assembly BZT2 is also equipped with a Stahlbus bleeder valve.
The brake assembly BZT2 has an ETSO-approval by EASA and is delivered with FORM 1.
The retrofitting of the BZT2 into different aircraft types is approved with Minor Change Approvals.

Brake lining wear limit:
The minimum replacement thickness for brake linings is 0.7 mm.
The total thickness of brake linings at no point must be less than 0.7 mm.
Installation note:
After mounting the brake assembly, tighten the hexagonal bolt with a tightening torque of 10 Nm.
