Bear in mind the following advice during installation and maintenance:

Make sure the brake cable is laid correctly: as short and direct as possible, but without tight radii
Use a Bowden cable with a set screw
Adjust brake lever at regular intervals
Roughen brake linings with emery paper (grain size 40 to 80) until the complete surface is matt
Check minimum lining thickness (at least 1.5 mm)
