Hans Jürgen Fenzl

As a member of the founding family, Hans Jürgen Fenzl has been closely connected with TOST and aviation since his youth.

As a child, he spent his free time at the glider airfield. Later, he became an enthusiastic glider and motor pilot.

For many decades, he worked as a freelance Certifying Staff for TOST. After ending his active professional career as a diploma physicist, he took on a new challenge at Tost: in 1999, he reorganized our quality management system to meet the requirements of JAR 21. This laid the foundation for our current approvals with LBA and EASA.

Until 2013, he set the course for consistently high manufacturing and product quality as the head of QM. His commitment ensured that the quality management system was not just a declaration on paper but has been lived with conviction by the entire Tost team every day since.

Hans Jürgen Fenzl continued to support us in the following years as a forward-thinking, integral, and highly qualified advisor until shortly before his death in 2017.
